Our first civics lesson of the school year was last week! This year, Secretary Amore will be teaching a lesson on the Declaration of Independence to help commemorate the nation's 250th anniversary. Thank you to Pilgrim High School in Warwick for having us.

Two of the most influential documentary filmmakers sat down with students from the RI Civic Leadership Program yesterday in the State Room. Ken Burns and Sarah Botstein, directors of The American Revolution, took questions from students during a panel moderated by Sec. Amore.
