We join our partners in advocating for criminal justice reform & urging the Gen. Assembly to amend the law to make the max. prison sentence for a misdemeanor offense 364 days — instead of 1 year. That 1 day could be the difference between freedom & deportation!🫡@LeonelaFelixRI

Here's our statement on the amended budget: The budget has very good points — but could & should do more to increase tax fairness, help low-income RIers & better prepare us for the coming, drastic cuts to Medicaid & SNAP. There's still time to improve it!
