We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mark Womack, a cornerstone of the SEC and a leader in college athletics. Mark was a trusted friend to many throughout college sports. Our sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.🙏

Let me give you an easy example on why @WinterSportsLaw is obviously wrong here. Title IX & it's application to revenue payments to athletes. The applicable regs are 50 years old & never contemplated athletes getting paid.
The only reason there’s “legal chaos” in college sports is because there’s an insistence on operating in a manner that creates those legal issues. The only answer isn’t “it has to be this way” so give us an antitrust exemption. Adapt to current climate and think beyond that.

HBCUs support the SCORE Act. NCAA athletes support it. SAACs support it. Conference Commissioners support it. Olympic sports coaches & admins support it. Is it perfect? No. But it provides our best chance for a clear demarcation between professional sports & college athletics.
