Hot take. If you can’t fix your ball mark on the green you shouldn’t be allowed to play. It takes two seconds to do and requires no skill.

It’s so nice to see the ground water in the drainage lines reminding you why you are here. We had 3” over the weekend and were able to take a cart through there worst spots, that would have been roped off for days

Mid summer weather update. Today will be day 19 in the 90’s. We’ve had 38 days since 5/1 where the dew point hit over 70 & 12 days where it hit over 80. Rain since 5/1 is 9.67”. Total evapotranspiration, 13.51”. That’s a tough summer for the Met area let alone for just 1/2 of it.

A new way to save or re-position labor dollars. New ways to do old jobs. Will complement our robots on the short game.

These new robots are coming to town. For the past several years, the Dutch company #TurfTroniq has been providing after-market robotic-mowing technology to turf managers. The automated bunker rake...

It's going to be extremely hot in many areas this week and superintendents will be using defensive maintenance practices to protect turf health. There may be some short-term playability impacts, but remember that "slow grass is better than no grass."

I had the opportunity to meet Montclair Golf Club members today. The club emailed everyone about @vanja_drasler working @usopengolf. They were so proud and couldn’t wait to see her work on TV. I just love a club supporting their superintendent. @GCSAA @GreenMontclair

Less turf leading to less water, fertilizer, daily mowing, insecticides and everything else
Turf removal, no overseeding, and improved maintenance practices led to better golf while using less water @PinehurstResort No2. Win-Win!

The granddaddy of them all - the original Redan. I’ve wanted to see the 15th at North Berwick for at least a decade, since I played my first C.B. Macdonald course. And man, it does not disappoint. Bonus cameo from the Biarritz-like 16th in the background. More to come from

Successful superintendents and their green department staff display grit on a daily basis. It’s so important, it is one of the primary factors we look for when hiring new staff. Teaching Grit, by @AdmiredLeaders

One of Steve Yzerman's more iconic clips of all time... #Game7 double OT. Yzerman with the puck. Slapper from the blue line. Gary Thorne with the call on the only goal of the game. It's all there. #StanleyCup 🗓️: May 16, 1996

Have you ever been asked why you don’t compare to televised golf at your home course? Look at the amount of people in that tent. And then realize most of them aren’t being paid-and are assistants and supers from around the country.
Many hands make light work. The invaluable role of volunteers. @jballard1 @justinRwilt44 @Paytonhobby3 @PGAChampionship @BASFTurf_us
