Anybody within the golden triangle has the recruiting base and media markets to blow up if they play their cards right, plus our alumni bases are huge in the Big 4. UTEP does have a lot of room to improve to capture EP’s attention, but if and when they do that’s their ceiling.

I mean having gone to State and lived in NM for 7.5 years I do agree that UTEP could be light years better than it is with the right leadership, but to say they have more potential than us is certifiably insane.
I completely understand why Texas state fans wouldn’t appreciate why I said here. Ultimately the comparison makes for good content, I do actually believe what I said. You can make a pretty compelling case that Texas state has a higher ceiling than UtEP, but I stand by what I.
