Bravery 6 May 17, I was privileged to fly on the last chopper that brought back the released Chibok girls. Seeing the girls - young, naive BUT broken, was a reminder of how cruel man is. When we touched down, I stayed with them briefly in the C-130 before the Abuja lap.

‘Security issues are sensitive and would be discussed behind closed doors’ Whatever the hell this statement means. This is the statement members of National Assembly often hide behind. Notably, the US Congress dissected our security issue more than our Assembly has ever done

A narrow narrative that reduces Nigeria’s security situation to a single story and frames it solely as the persecution of Christians, oversimplifies the situation — Oge Onubogu, a Senior Fellow and Director, Africa Program, Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

🚨 LMAO! President Trump just pointed at Elon Musk and talked about how they worked together to let Democrats humiliate themselves — and the crowd is ROLLING in laughter "They’ve got the WORST policies. But I don’t talk about them. Because if I talk about it, they might change."

Recruitment can be tricky. The question at times is not how many persons you can recruit? What might be key at the moment is to have at least 60% of those recruited in the fighting specialties. Then again, can 80% of that 60 be Special Forces trained within a year?

Trump says slain Saudi journalist Khashoggi was extremely controversial. “A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it.”

Even the small carcass left of the police is still not spared by politicians. Look at policemen loyal to one set of politicians tear-gassing another set of policemen loyal to another faction of politicians. They practically turned policemen to a gang on gang fight.

If a businessman who is not even prominent can have this number of policemen attached to him at a time some troubled locations don’t even have a police station, then it shows that security is not yet a priority. Good luck to Nigerians.

The aim of our decisions is one: to get our actions closer & SUSTAINABLE to the enemy as much as possible. The correlation between the successes of ISWAP & the so-called bandits in the North West is mind-blowing and cannot be ignored. Therefore, ISWAP must not have their way.

Secondly: put our political differences with our neighbours aside and get Tchad and Niger really involved. This must be at the top most level of govt to govt. We might not win without these two countries.

Unconventional approach: can we reconsider the idea of the frontline air wings mooted years ago. Closer wings to the action so as to support the army. About time our theatres of ops now have a solid joint air base, where the army & air force can jointly operate from.

Other joint ops have been successful but not at the level of the two cases I mentioned. Way forward: you are not bending this monster if you don’t have established lines of communication. Deep strikes are good but not impacting in the grand scheme of things. So?

Also Tchad & Niger keyed into that Ruwan Wuta IV. The MI played a key role in delivering all round war logistics to hard to reach frontline units & that sustained the operational objective. But when the aircraft crashed, it was one crash too many at the time and the ops stopped.
