"The work of the Commissioner on Systemic Racism did not go far enough to address these issues. The recommendations failed to bring the deep changes needed, leaving Indigenous communities to continue living with the consequences. "

“The residential school system was a genocide—designed to wipe out Indigenous cultures, languages, families and heritage. To downplay, deny or justify it is cruel, harmful and hateful. This should have no place in Canada.”- Leah Gazan
Canada has its fair share of terrible people, but the residential school deniers may be some of the worst. Acknowledging the past and ongoing violence and racism towards Indigenous people should be a bare minimum requirement of living in Canada.
