My author copies of the book finally arrived and the book looks great! I’m very excited about this publication. I recently did a Q&A with the newspaper, The Jewish Vues. Links to order the book and read the Q&A to follow

The OU kosher beer list has almost 1,000 brands and does not claim to be comprehensive
oukosher.org
This list accompanies the recent OU Food Service beer policy update. It shows beers and breweries that are currently known to have reliable kosher

Absolutely correct. Although the Menorah in the Temple was most likely rounded, like the Temple Institute displays in the old city of Jerusalem today
*Crucial Message Please Share* The debate of Menorah shape is about the Menorah in the Holy Temple. Regarding a Chanukah Menorah everyone agrees that any shape, so long as the 8 lamps are level & in a row, are 💯 Kosher! If you need a Menorah, please reach out for a free gift!

I’m feeling the urge to go out to eat at La Cucina in Teaneck even though I live over an hour away. You get protested by the anti-Israel mob, you deserve my support

Welcome to the rabbinate (with apologies to @JYuter)
A US teacher sharing her classroom experience. One of the comments underneath says: "47 years teaching. Just retired this year. The difference between then and now is like night and day. The kids have zero attention span!"

I can’t stop laughing. It’s such a brilliant piece of writing.
Living next door to Ireland is weird. It’s like having a neighbour who is super friendly and charming and then you go over for dinner one night and every wall is just photographs of random Jews with red string running between them. Me in the @spectator. https://t.co/xAOQ1hNAHU

There were so many people asking for money at Shacharis today that the first guy to arrive told off the others and insisted they wait until after he makes his appeal #GivingTuesday

I love this exchange on Shabbos 84b. It reminds of every Facebook group discussion I’ve ever had on any topic of any level of significance or lack thereof

People think Shabbos is just about stopping work. More than that, it’s about seeing blessing. By stepping back, we suddenly notice the good already in our lives—exactly what Thanksgiving was meant to teach a busy nation.

We asked Jews at the @18_forty conference about AI. Here's what they said. https://t.co/79EYSt8Av0

To clarify: I'm not saying not to celebrate Thanksgiving. I'm saying to be aware and realistic of what and why you do and don't do things. The most important part of being a religious Jew (or religious anything) is being aware of your actions and their meaning.

t may once have been funny to talk about turkeys flying but it stopped being funny around the time that those suits went out of style

The smartest take on Thanksgiving is that of Rav Yisroel Belsky. The holiday used to have a patriotic component and was permissible and important. Now it's just cultural and decadent, maybe even assimilationist, if not outright forbidden.
