After decades of dedication and zero pro contracts, I’m officially announcing my retirement from pro soccer. Tearing my ACL & MCL at 41 means giving up my dream of a late-career @USMNT debut to focus on my backup plan of running a microbial genomics lab at @UMassAmherst ⚽️ 🦠 🧬.

We received eval from an NIH proposal recently. 3rd submission of this idea to same scientific review group (initial, resub, new sub though 3rd try). Scores went from 42 -> 33 -> not scored. The proposal and prelim data improved each time based on reviewer comments. Now what?
