And if you are at UNL, I teach a set of classes that can make you really really effective at advocacy! (and attract students from across the political spectrum).
Iโm always surprised by how many people who care about political advocacy donโt know how it works or how to do it, and also donโt want to learn about it. Anyway, study political science. It ends up mattering with regard to the things you care about.

The "nonpartisan"ship of the Nebraska Unicam is much ballyhooed, but more interesting to me is that it caps the number of bills members can introduce but guarantees each a hearing (not necessarily a committee vote though).
Ya know, many legislative bodies cap the number of bills members can introduce each sessionโฆmuch to consider.

My guy! So proud of my dear friend, @jcrohsaine.
Wonderful APSA in the always wonderful Philly! This was an extra special one for me; I was humbled to be named Emerging Scholar in the Legislative Studies and Political Orgs & Parties Sections. So many wonderful scholars in those sections, and I am grateful for the recognition!
