And if you are at UNL, I teach a set of classes that can make you really really effective at advocacy! (and attract students from across the political spectrum).
I’m always surprised by how many people who care about political advocacy don’t know how it works or how to do it, and also don’t want to learn about it. Anyway, study political science. It ends up mattering with regard to the things you care about.

The "nonpartisan"ship of the Nebraska Unicam is much ballyhooed, but more interesting to me is that it caps the number of bills members can introduce but guarantees each a hearing (not necessarily a committee vote though).
Ya know, many legislative bodies cap the number of bills members can introduce each session…much to consider.

Discussed generative AI in the classroom w/ colleagues recently. My assumption is AI disrupts the "writing -> thinking -> learning" process and so inhibits learning. But what do we actually know about how learning works in the context of generative AI?.
