The paper shows an association. Not an RCT showing causation. Yet, this paper gives me serious consideration to a change in practice. Is there a downside to more caffeine? @EBNEO @BCMNeonatal BTW, smoking and lung cancer is an association too. Does every practice change need

The vision of Rwanda as a country and @visitrwanda_now is incredible. They are an African nation that is going somewhere fast. My time as US physician living and working in Rwanda @kfaisalhospital and @RwaMilitaryHosp showed me the incredible vision of Rwanda.

What heart rate should REALLY trigger chest compressions in neonates? Authors suggest giving airway, airway, airway much longer time, up to 120 sec, before CC. Thoughts @EBNEO?

Insightful PAS talk by Greg Valentine & mentee Olivia Brandon @seattlechildren on neonatal fluid management. Key findings: Higher enteral feeding volumes & moderate total fluid intake linked to lower BPD, shorter LOS, and better neurodevelopmental outcomes. #Neonatal #PAS2025

Fantastic! @ravimpatelmd's talk at @PASMeeting on neonatal platelet/pRBC transfusion trends: 1. Restrictive approaches safe, may benefit in case of platelets. 2. pRBC transfusion thresholds down, platelet unchanged. 3. New findings take ~17 yrs to adopt. Act now! #PAS2025

Interesting study out of Nigeria. Wondering what feasibility of wider application in LMICs may be. I think we often underestimate the cost of oxygen which could drive these types of changes.
