I think I wrote the first version of this story in 2017? I didn't have a child then. My kid is 4 now and can read my name printed in this book. A trip. I don't often think about lines I wrote years ago, but I will say abt this little snippet here: Yes, 2017 Geetha, accurate.

My 3 and 11/12ths year old (her self-description) makes anatomically correct insects, which means I have succeeded at parenting (where is my cookie). Behold, a scarab beetle with feather antennae and giant jaws.
