Integration with Civic Auth has to be one of the most pleasant development experiences I’ve had, from the apt documentation to the ease of implementation. Big shout-out to the amazing team @civickey. Definitely looking forward to integrating it into more of my future projects.

Performance impact is minimal. The auth integration adds negligible kbs to bundle size, but lazy loading and code splitting can mitigate this. Initial auth checks add around 200-300ms to initial page load on most connections.

Security is well-architected. The embedded wallet keys are encrypted. Civic never has access to private keys, maintaining self-custody principles.

Getting started requires registering on Civic's portal to get an application ID. Their documentation is clear, and the integration process takes somewhere between 5 - 8 minutes for experienced devs.
