Recruiting = rejection. A lot of it. You’ll post on X and get 462 views. You’ll DM a coach, and they won’t even open it. You’ll make a crazy play at a camp, and no coaches will see it. It sucks. But it’s part of the process. Keep going. All you need is one.

Prioritizing contact first. Bat to ball skills and guys who can actually hit. Not just power. Not slug or nothing. Weird concept.
Inside the mind of the @BlueJays hitting coach 🧠 David Popkins shared his philosophy on finding value in an offense, separating analytics from the eye test and the increase in bat speed among numerous Toronto hitters.

7 hours behind the plate. Missed just 12 pitches. I’ve had my share of run-ins with umpires, and they take plenty of heat—but credit where it’s due. That was impressive. The only guy who had to be locked in on every single pitch for 7 straight hours.

Everyone wants to play college baseball… ...until they realize how boring the work really is. Same drills. Same lifts. Same routine. Consistency isn’t flashy — but it’s where the great ones are built. 💯

PSA to all coaches: Never try to make parents understand your job, because they never will. Parents will always want the best for their child, as they should. Our job is always to do what’s best for the TEAM. No matter how it may look or feel at times.

Guys can party until 4 AM before a game, use drugs daily, abuse their girlfriends, and neglect fatherhood without media criticism. But when Travis Hunter improves his life by getting baptized and following Jesus, the media claims he's unfocused. 🤦♂️ This shows the mainstream

If you approach your job as a way to provide service to others and not to be the most important person in the chain of command, you will be fulfilled.

Seattle Mariners P Bryce Miller wrote Isaiah 6:8 on his hat for tonight’s Game 5 vs Toronto 👏 “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”” Isaiah 6:8 HT @BrockHuard

10 YEARS SOBER 🙏🏾 I would’ve never imagined being here today after hitting rock bottom checking into rehab the night before the 2015 postseason. Early in my career, alcohol was a coping mechanism after losing my dad and navigating life’s ups and downs. Having the courage to tell
