Socialists are a strange species, they increased taxes, made it more difficult to do business, and now they are surprised that tax revenues go down, because companies hire less, and the most successful people leave the UK. Why is it so difficult to understand?

Because nothing says “dignity” like demanding the fruits of another man’s labor while calling him greedy for keeping them. Nothing says “justice” like punishing success to subsidize idleness. And nothing screams “compassion” like declaring that you have a right to eat while.

Democratic socialism is just mob rule with a smiley face. Voting to loot your neighbor doesn’t make it justice. It makes it a tyranny by majority. Slower than a dictatorship, but just as deadly to freedom.

I'm wondering if anyone at the National Wafflefest has spotted a good idea yet. I'm guessing it will be a very rare sighting as an ANC meeting is not the natural habitat for good ideas. However the common lesser bad idea should be present in abundance.

Venezuela used to be twice as wealthy as Chile. Then Chile introduced free market principles, while Venezuela was ruled by socialists. Now Chile is the wealthiest large country in South America and Venezuela the poorest. Difference between capitalism and socialism visualized.

Quite plainly the so called redress policies are an admission by the ANC that actual wealth creation is beyond them. And in true Marxist fashion these policies are already resulting in increased structural failure and wealth destruction.
