Ten seconds ago, the tree was almost entirely lit. I wrapped the final string, stepped back, and…

My apparently hot take: Christmas should begin whenever your heart and your family need it to. You have no idea what someone is going through so be gracious and if you can’t support them, then at the very least, leave them alone.
An apparently hot take: Christmas should expand into January, not drift back into November Put down the mistletoe and enjoy the rest of apple season, you freaks!

Many white evangelicals hate the idea of taxes more than they hate the idea of their neighbors starving.

I've gotten some puzzling pushback here. Kirk shared his politics everywhere. He shared the gospel on occasion. TPUSA events are about politics. So he only "shared the gospel everywhere" if they're the same thing. Besides, Burk's crowd has conflated politics and gospel before.
To Burk, promoting "marriage and family and... the sanctity of marriage" is the same as "sharing the gospel." But that's not the gospel. Kirk's event was part of his “American Comeback Tour" to "push back against left-wing indoctrination in academia." That's not the gospel.

I got new glasses… my son just said, “Mom, you look like a librarian that could give the best book suggestions but also round kick your face.” People. That’s one of the greatest things anyone has ever said about me, lol.

I'm increasingly convinced that part of what's going on right now is that some people think we're living the story of the Little Red Hen, and some people think we're in the parable of the Good Samaritan. And the two stories are pretty much diametrically opposed.

In light of the govt's attempt to persuade women to have more babies (and the evangelical church's support of that), a reminder that I wrote a book about God's *actual* purpose for women... spoiler alert, it's not about being wives or having babies. https://t.co/NT1WlaWnbW

The greatest lie evangelicals ever told women was that they were created to be wives and mothers. The second greatest lie? That they should be grateful for it.

Someone I respect recently asked me why I seemed to be having such a visceral reaction to the last few weeks… this kind of thing is why. Those of us who have already lived thru a similar cultural ethos know that it emboldens & unleashes male aggression toward women.

But would that stop pastors from sexually abusing women and children in their congregations? Would it stop churches from covering up abuse or enabling abusers? Seems like if you really had an issue with fornication and adultery, you’d start there.
Until 1962, fornication and adultery were a crime in all 50 States. If America reestablished fornication laws (which still exist in 16 states) and banned porn, marriage would skyrocket, singleness would drop, babies would be born, feminism would die, and our nation would thrive.

Start a book group. Spread the word. Because despite what some so-called Christians are saying (and how they are acting) the Bible teaches that ALL people were created valuable, deserving of dignity, and worth caring for.

And I know it’s been a hot second since my book came out, but if you want to dig into this deeper, check it out. Or if there is a woman in your life who needs to be reminded just how important they are, grab them a copy. https://t.co/pSWcYwDBKL

Are you tired? Are you ?So many Christian women are exhausted because we've come to believe that God's purpose for us is rooted in what we do--which means we're constantly striving to have somehow...

-requiring women to submit to their husbands (or fathers) in all areas and without question is not Biblical -in any way claiming that women are of lesser value or worth than men is not Biblical
