Now. Wouldn’t go as far to say a golden era. I know people like the bemoan referees, but go back even 10-15 years or so and the decisions were worse if anything, we just didn’t have the replay immediately available all over Twitter.
Honest question: when was "the level of officiating in this country" at its highest? When was the golden era of English refereeing?
