We should set a single US timezone while we're at it. We have globally accurate time and email now. Nobody will care whether solar noon roughly corresponds to 12:00 on their phone. We'd quickly adapt.

My lawful evil developer trait is systematically refusing to use blank lines in function bodies and using comments for that purpose instead.

Wife: 🎶 all you need is love 🎶 . Son: What about talkin'?. Wife: Well, I suppose… so I can say things like 'I love you' right?. Son: No. So you can say things like: 'did you surfboard today?'.

I've been using this keyboard as my daily driver for more than two years and still love it. Somehow, they captured the essence of the legendary ThinkPad keyboard and improved upon it without changing its spirit.

It wouldn't matter if it had to make two trips up stairs—one to carry its own tank up the stairs and another for the laundry basket—for the same reason the Roomba doesn't need to work as fast as a traditional vacuum cleaner.

The first humanoid robots should carry compute and charge on one of these. As long as it can carry its own battery up the stairs and survive a few minutes untethered, it'd be good enough.

To honestly say you're 'living' somewhere vs. simply 'visiting', how many routine grocery trips do you need to take?.

A possible outcome for websites post LLMs is that CMSs become *more* useful since your site will no longer be constrained by how fast a human reads. You'll want to exhaustively describe all aspects of your business to help the LLM accurately describe it to your customers.

Anonymity is getting the wrong order at the drive thru. Pseudonymity is becoming a regular at the breakfast joint. Total surveillance is your spouse making you eat egg white omelettes.

Drupal needs a "remodeling" module to migrate field data from one field type to another or to selectively migrate content from an existing content type into a new content type. That module will become more useful as D8+ sites are visually refreshed.

My favorite thing about reading @patio11 posts is chuckling and nodding knowingly about the constellations of interesting points he makes *by waving them away*.
