@Sihanet In June 2023, Roqia Ibrahim went to fetch ice during a power outage in Khartoum (RSF-controlled area). She never came back. Her mother still searches for her in the hope of her safe return, as do other families in Sudan, who also continue to search for their missing daughters.

@Sihanet While disappeared, women and girls are subjected to harrowing forms of sexual and gender-based violence. Victims and survivors, mostly disappeared by the RSF, are deprived of their liberty, with their fate and whereabouts concealed and unknown.
