(3/3) Study in @AMJPublicHealth found that in a sample of ≈10,000 products available in Chilean supermarkets, 63% required at least 1 nutrient warning label. Only 4% of products high in sugar, saturated fat, sodium or calories failed to display the required front-of-pack labels.

(2/3) Study in @PLOSMedicine found during Phase 2 of the Law of Food Labeling and Advertising, Chileans bought:.- 37% less sugar.- 22% less sodium.- 16% less sat. fat, &.- 23% fewer total calories.from products with warning labels vs. hypothetical expected purchases with no law.

(1/3) New studies from @ciapec_inta & @GFRP_UNC find:.1-Chile's food labeling & advertising law led to significantly less calories, sugar, sodium, & sat fat purchased from packaged food/drinks.2-Industry compliance with front-of-pack warning labels was 94%.
