Excited to share this new record of deep ocean temperatures over the last ~60 Million years! Using the clumping of carbon and oxygen isotopes in ancient shells we show that peak Cenozoic deep sea temperatures were warmer (~20 C!) and more dynamic than previously thought 🧵
