I understand why gate agents are jerks. OAL pilot ahead of me listing for the JS. “I’d like to hitch a ride.” Wtf? And then doesn’t have his passport handy. Also never talked to the FA before the pilots and brought all his crap with him. This isn’t that difficult!

US airports list flight information alphabetically. Everywhere else in the world it is by departure time. It is so much easier to find your flight when its listed by departure time.

Final to MSP the other morning. Half the airplane had their window shade closed.

On redeye flights I prefer the dome light on dim. The FO made it clear on the way to LAX he hates the light on and a chatty captain on a redeye. As we departed last night I kept it dark and my hot mic off. Guess who kept starting up a convo? 🤣

I was ORD based as an FO and commuted to MSP. To ORD as early as 5:00 am. Return at 22:00. It made life as a commuter amazing. I upgraded to ORD. Thanks to those that know; it too was amazing. Chicago is a great city. COVID and seniority wrecked it. Just recalling what was good.

Pretty excited DL announced MSP-FCO today. Part of why I’m excited is the movie Airport took place in Chicago, but was filmed at MSP. The flight in that movie was the Golden Argosy flight to Rome. I have to JS on it!

Bidding for Sep, a vacation month, 8/31 was grey, but included in Sep! I leave on vacation 9/5. Ended up with a day turn on the 31st. Couldn’t do anything with it until this morning. Trade approved! Vacation started 8/25 and goes to 9/22 now. So happy!!!

Before today I had been to most NYC airports: EWR, LGA, HPN, SWF, and ISP. This morning I was able to do what now rare, go to a new airport. And it was JFK! So that’s fun.
