If there's a reason to get into Thad Levine's @RostersToRings podcast then the latest episode with Twins legend @toriihunter48 is probably it.

Genuinely, if you have ever wondered about the Major League Baseball trade deadline, or opined on Rocco Baldelli's management style, this @GleemanAndGeek episode with Thad Levine will answer it all. Should be part of required listening.

Terry Ryan needed to bow out of the GM position when it happened, but there are few men with a greater understanding of the game, and a level of professionalism and personability than he had.
@tlschwerz Listening to Terry Ryan during the all player broadcast game number two a week or so ago really made me miss him, clarity, focus professionalism.

This is really interesting. Later in the same episode Levine talks about standing pat for a prolonged period of time looking like an attempt to survive in your job rather than push things forward. Derek Falvey has not been given additional assets by the Pohlad's, but he's done.
A very interesting quote from Thad Levine on this @GleemanAndGeek episode. He's talking about a trade deadline principle learned from Billy Beane. "You're building to win this season, or you're building to win in the future. Don't do neither.". Unfortunately it can be argued.

This episode was truly unreal!. Check out Thad's podcast too at @RostersToRings.
New podcast!. Special guest Thad Levine joins us to talk about his eight years as #MNTwins general manager and take us behind the scenes of an MLB front office at the trade deadline. This might be my favorite episode we've ever done. So fun. Listen here:

Yes, imagine putting a literal bullseye on a sleeve patch and an institution with naming rights to the entire stadium paying for it.
Target Field. Target Center. Target’s global HQ in Minneapolis. A jersey patch should add to the look. The Target bullseye is iconic and tied to the Twins’ identity. and the Twins put a bank’s logo on the jersey? Missed an open net. Such a Pohlad decision. #MNTwins

That's kind of where I'm at. He's not getting starts at 2B/3B over Lee/Castro/Lewis. The Twins need Clemens insurance at 1B and France isn't it. Expand his utility.
@tlschwerz If I'm not mistaken he has had some minor league games at 1B. Put him there on the rehab and see how it goes. I don't see where else besides DH he gets ABs. Without an injury to someone of course 🤞.

Matthews should start this weekend in Colorado with Travis Adams at the ready. Anthony Misiewicz's roster spot would be the logical move.
The Twins are going to get one starter back in the coming days. Keaschall and Ober are starting rehab assignments. Pablo Lopez is going to have to trust his body. @IBWAA.
