the whole thing is <50 lines of bash+python code embedded into nix, meaning that its complexity footprint is, overall, relatively small.

i wrote a little python script which lets me replace this with "__someField" instead. it will look thru the file for all such variable names and then at the end of the file write out definitions like __someField = prop (Proxy :: Proxy "someField") its quite cute !
