We’re inspiring the next generation to value and protect Georgia’s coastal resources for years to come. Each year, our marine educators engage thousands of K–12 students through immersive, hands-on learning.

Our small, dedicated team delivers training, programs, and resources that have a lasting impact on the coast.

We work alongside residents, local leaders, scientists, and coastal industries to find solutions to local challenges. Through hands-on learning and workforce development, we foster appreciation for coastal resources and prepare the next generation of marine professionals.

With support from NOAA Sea Grant and UGA, we serve all 11 of Georgia’s coastal counties, delivering research, education, and outreach that improves environmental health, supports local economies, and prepares communities for the future.

Georgia’s coast is one of our state’s greatest assets, and the team at Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant works every day to protect and strengthen it.
