"It has been ten years since the Supreme Court admitted that the law on joint enterprise had ‘taken a wrong turn." As we mark ten years since the Jogee ruling, I’ve written in @JusticeGap about why justice cannot wait another ten years 👇 https://t.co/8siSbvqIMW

Looking forward to chairing this really important event in Parliament this evening. The ‘unconscionable cruelty’ of current arrangements for miscarriage of justice compensation must end. https://t.co/LjuP2ImO4V

Powerful APPG on Miscarriages of Justice event hearing from Oliver Campbell, Peter Sullivan & Justin Plummer – three wrongly convicted men who spent a total of 77 years in prison. Their stories show a system failing people twice: convicting the innocent & abandoning them after.

Was present last night. Listening to reflections on what happened. At points very moving. People present shared recent accounts of grave miscarriages too. I feel needs a wider hearing. Netflix or the BBC should take up the offer made, the public are interested believe me !
