The crowds came out today to pay tribute to those who took part in the Gallipoli Campaign. A service of remembrance was held at Bury Parish Church followed by a wreath laying ceremony and a parade to remember all those who took part and lost their lives at Gallipoli.

What did you do before breakfast this morning? At dawn on the 25 Apr 1915, The Lancashire Fusiliers landed on W Beach, on the Gallipoli Peninsula, where the Turks opened fire. Despite heavy losses for the Fusiliers, six VC’s were awarded for this action. #SixVCsBeforeBreakfast
