Craftsman Cup Champions 🏆🔧. Bit of good news — the LAD have just lifted the Craftsman Cup after a tense final that went all the way to sudden death penalties. A proper nail-biter!. Massive shoutout to Fus Marks and Sgt Davidson for their key roles in securing the win.

W Coy on the Guns 🔥. W Coy took to the ranges this week to sharpen their skills with the Heavy Machine Gun, delivering accurate firepower and reinforcing core battlefield capability. This training sets the conditions for the transition to modernised platforms.

Player of the Match Performance ⚽🔥. Fus Leiloma was named Player of the Match in an Infantry League fixture against the Royal Artillery. A standout performance that led from the front — well played!

The day honours the Battle of Minden (1 August 1759), when the 20th Foot — later the RRF — advanced under fire and broke massed French cavalry, earning a place in history and our enduring tradition of wearing red and yellow roses. 2/3.

Sharpshooters in the Army Top 100 🎯. Four Fusiliers have earned a coveted place in the Army “Top 100” Badge, awarded to the best marksmen in the British Army small arms competition — a testament to their skill, discipline, and precision. 1/2

After days of pushing themselves to master the sport, the event concluded with 2 categories: Novice and Open. In the Open category, LCpl Dawson represented 1RRF well while in the Novice category, team captain 2Lt West made waves with a bronze medal finish. 2/3.

Synchronised Chaos 💣💥. For the past two weeks, First Fusiliers Mortar Platoon has been embedded with the @RoyalTankRegt Battlegroup at Castlemartin. Working closely with 127 Battery, the team has coordinated joint fires, engaging targets in complex live‑fire scenarios.

Endure 24 Champions 🔧🏃‍♂️. The LAD placed 1st at the REME Endure 24, completing a 5km run on the hour, every hour. SSgt Field’s team absolutely smashed it, closing out their final 5km in under 20 minutes. Outstanding effort all round — engineering excellence meets endurance.

Inter Service Basketball 2025 🏀. CSgt Duncan proudly represented the Army Senior Men’s Team at the Inter Services Basketball Championships 2025, held at RAF Cosford and hosted by the Royal Air Force. 1/2

Fusiliers in the Ring 🥊. The Army Open Boxing Championships took place this week in Aldershot, with 4 Fusiliers stepping into the ring. Fus Bull and LCpl Hicks were runners-up earlier in the week, while Fus Saunders and Sgt Griffiths reached the final. 1/2

Silent. Steady. Lethal. 🎯. Fusilier snipers recently took part in a sniper concentration on Salisbury Plain, honing precision, patience, and lethality in demanding conditions.

They’ll face cold water, strong currents, and the open sea. This will be the first Fusilier team and the first mixed-gender Inf team. They’re swimming in support of the Fusiliers Aid Society, which provides vital assistance to Fusiliers past and present, and their families.
