I won another NorCal local. After NAIC, watching all my friends do so well motivated me to change my mindset and play with the intent to get better. Results are showing and hope to continue the streak!

I coded in a VGC Regulation F random battle format in my custom Showdown Server! It's still very much not perfect, but I'm glad I got a working version on that servers mostly diverse teams. Link in description if anyone wants to give it a try

I’m so sad this is going down. The @playpokemon event finder is essentially unusable and pokedata’s version was substantially better. Removing this platform without matching QoL improvements is just going to hurt attendance at locals because people literally cant find them easily
Welp! Sorry to those still going to the Events' page. Sorry to the Discord servers receiving events. Sorry to the events' API users I am being blocked by https://t.co/MnpqRWGiCP too fast and can maybe update at most 100 leagues per day (out of 6500+). I give up.

The amount this impacts beginners coming into the competitive scene is a lot. This change only serves as more confusing newer players.

20-12. A lot of flaws were exposed in my play, but this is a score I am okay with. Have things to do for the rest of the day, so this is the end of my GC. Was fun playing Regulation H ladder on cart after exclusively playing it on showdown the past month.

I originally intended for this to let my frustrations out, but it reached some unintended influences and got the ball rolling for a few things. I still haven't found a venue, but I'm incredibly hopeful for the future of the local VG scene.
Trying to expand the VG scene in my area is like pulling teeth. Sometimes I wish we had the old system where we could host out of any suitable venue as opposed to being connected to a card shop. Even showing insane growth, still met with no thanks before I can even pitch.
