We raised £305 at Prescot Carnival today toward improvements taking place at the allotment, thanks to Mal, Margaret, Thomas & my mum who helped me ticket everything and make a list of the prizes.

Lovely visit from our friend Joan Lunts son & daughter in law following her sad passing, to donate £470 to Margaret (Deputy Chair & myself as Chair). A tree will be planted in the woodland in her community in her memory. God Bless Joan. @smalmarg2012 @greyhoundkim @TownPrescot

Create an eco system and the animals will come... we've had tadpoles and frogs, squirrels and no end of beautiful birds entertaining us, but today two little ducks became the latest recruits to enjoyed our pond. Please stay...

This happened today...@GreenopThe introduced us to Craig Lamont who came to the Woodland & Forestry Space & removed eight massive tree stumps that would have each taken a week's manual labour to remove. Thank you guys.💚 #CommunityNetworking #CommunityVolunteers @smalmarg2012

Today, our friend Harry Hughes was finally able to visit the Woodland & Forestry Space after watching its development over the past 2yrs. Harry donated young fruit trees here and to @local_plot. Covid guidelines had prevented him visiting but today he gave us a glowing report.

Willow that has been lovingly grown by Mal, planted in the Woodland & fencing pallets & wood in place ready for recycling as fencing. My legs, arms & back are throbbing but I'm buzzing knowing this brings us another step closer to it being fit for purpose💚 #CommunityVolunteers

PM mission clear up continued with Margaret Mal & Thomas joining us. 2 massive bags of broken bricks & rocks ready for the skip and wood sorted into piles. 30 flags transferred ready for the sheds base. Another 15 flags transferred for around the barbecue.

Dont recall ever working as physically hard as today, AM raking & barrowing last 20 barrows of wood chippings, bringing 12 heavy pots of bulbs to the Woodland & moving around 300 house bricks with my Sister Marianne .

Thats dedication Thomas, My hero💚 still full of a heavy cold but made time to help me shift 20 barrows before tea... Lots to do tomorrow and over the next few weeks getting the space ready for its imminent use by local schools and community groups.
