1/ A bit of municipal York: firstly, the Art Gallery designed by York architect Edward Taylor and opened in 1879. It was taken over by the City Council in 1892. The Education Committee sign presumably marks the York School of Art which occupied the building for some years.

Number of times I got the 82 from there. You could go to anywhere in Liverpool from the 'bubbles' or from the Pier Head, now the city is split in two. The transport links are a mess with no consideration for people with limited mobility - they were better when the city had trams!
