.@USEmbassyBurma We shouldn’t repeat past mistakes. Prisoners should be released. But ALSO we need to go further than before. Give them real remedies for their suffering: Healthcare, training, employment, rehabilitation, compensation, and accountability.

We asked UNESCO to do HRIA but nothing yet. The word “guidelines” means “how to do”. (It does not mean “how to do if you have democratic intentions”.) The UN encouraging authoritarian governments to regulate digital platforms is extremely risky. The platforms might listen too..
