🌈 Today, on Intersex Awareness Day, we stand in solidarity with intersex individuals, celebrating their identities and advocating for their rights. This day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges they face, including discrimination and lack of understanding.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — We were at the Asian Development Bank Headquarters last Oct 21-23 to meet with fellow Civil Society orgs, Executive Directors and ADB Board members to discuss Inclusive Development for Sexual and Gender Minorities in ADB Operations.

There have been a lot of breakthroughs and setbacks in policymaking and lobbying for LGBTIQ rights across Asia. During the #ILGAAsiaConference2025, we will look at how we have navigated these developments, and collaboratively figure out how to move forward.

The access to healthcare and resources for the LGBTIQ community are tied with social class, and as advocates for equality we must ensure that this access is truly inclusive.

For World Food Day, we call for better food security policies for marginalised communities, including food sovereignty for Indigenous and agricultural communities. We fight better if the people we love and care about are nourished better.

They are about respect, dignity and identity. When we respect someone’s pronouns, we acknowledge their identity and affirm their experience. We must strive to create safe spaces in conversations by acknowledging pronouns instead of misgendering. #PronounsDay
