you can compensate gravity in your robot arm by calculating its own weight and countering it. the video on the right shows the compensation algorithm in action, the arm holds itself upright and moves freely. try it for yourself:

The real bottleneck in robotics isn't better algorithms, it's reliable physical manipulation. We've made huge strides in perception and planning, but getting robots to consistently handle everyday objects remains frustratingly difficult. Anyone claiming full autonomy without.

Tips and tricks:.- record long episodes ~30/40 seconds.- aim for a dataset size of 20/30 minutes of data. I used a single context camera but more cameras should be beneficial.

Happy and proud to share what we’ve been building behind closed doors. I had the pleasure of meeting Ilir a few months ago, feels like we’ve grown so much since.

Robotics is stuck in 1995. It’s slow, closed, and costs a fortune. A tiny team in Paris just changed that. Now you can control real robots using code. From your laptop. Or even in VR. Nobody’s talking about them. That won’t last long. Here’s why this is a big deal 🧵

We released a new pipeline for model training @phospho_ai . - Trains in 20 minutes.- Modified ACT.- Leverages Paligemma for vision. The model learns trajectories and is guided by the VLM to understand the scene. Try it out now on phosphobot.Should we do a 24h livestream with it?
