I study leaders at @HarvardHBS and I love to study the @WNBA. My favorite example of leadership this week is @EWeezy_For3eezy. She was a leader last year with @IndianaFever from bench, a leader this year in @seattlestorm as starter, and her care for both teams has carried over

StudBudz have invited @stoolpresidente to join their stream. @CourtMWilliams and @NatishaHiedeman want to ask Dave about his views on @Reese10Angel. My prediction? All three will learn. For sure, I’m tuning in.

Great leaders dont get everything right the first time, but they learn and adapt at an incredible rate. The @IndianaFever made moves in the off-season, only some of which worked out. Time to learn and adapt. #ShowDontTell @WNBA

A downside of paying @WNBA players so little?. Parity is impossible. Why? Because the best players can clump on a few teams because the pay cut a player takes to join a top team is negligible. The salary cap is supposed to fix this, but that's only if it is meaningful.

In professional sports, players share revenue not profit since players are partners in growing the league not managing expenses. @mcuban bought the @dallasmavs for $285 million in 2000. They lost money for 12 years as he invested heavily. Today's value: $4.5 billion. @WNBAPA.

When salary caps are set by a percentage of revenue, viewership matters to @wnba player salaries. We have seen viewership go down when players get hurt, which means salaries will go down. Until the league addresses dangerous officiating, players might consider handling it

A sketch of @WNBA economics. The new media deal adds $140 million per year compared to the old deal. When spilt over teams and players, player salaries go down when teams or players go up. Players are focused on the same revenue split as the NBA. @nnekaogwumike @WNBAPA

Today’s @WNBA Leadership Lesson. Context: The CBA Negotiation. Great negotiators tend to do three things well:.They choose curiosity over judgement. They spend far more time on value creation than value capture. They make sure both sides win. Bonus: They resist ultimatums, which

I study leaders at @HarvardHBS and the @WNBA. A case study in the making is on first time head coach @NatalieNakase and the @valkyries. Through the expansion draft, teams protected 6 players and the Valkyries could select one of the remaining players. The result: super exciting

Leadership Lessons from the @WNBA . In the post-game press conference @LVAces coach @BeckyHammon said that the @IndianaFever were playing rugby (holding and grabbing) and that while the Aces dont like to play rugby, they have to when the other team does. At the surface, this
