Disturbed by rich men who have sex with girls/women over the age of consent & say they didn't do anything wrong. Of course they didn't commit criminal acts, but predatory men who can afford to treat women simply as bodies are actually doing something very wrong.

On a special trip to see the engineering feat of replacing the Railway bridge in Oxford UK. The route south to London closed for the week. I needed wings, as it was impossible to really see what was happening. Engineering, like architecture, is another way to see God's glory

Lent is a time to look at every aspect of our life, that they all have some link to our faith in God. Easy to think being a Christian is just linked to our time at Mass & how we help others, Do we forget other parts of our lives? Glorifying God in our jobs and in our hobbies?

If we Christians are to be like salt then our faith in God must penetrate every aspect of our lives and make a difference without being too noticeable "Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Cor 10:31) - food or football - work or play.

Candlemas but Lent soon . A book to read in Lent, could be one by Timothy Radcliffe. Just discovered this one that I missed reading 6 years ago. I love this quote : "I would argue that belief is not only poetry; it is always poetic, even though all poetry is not theistic"

When we hear Jesus say “Blessed are the poor in spirit” etc it might help if we read it as “God blesses the poor in spirit .. God blesses those who hunger for righteousness etc.

Dad has been in hospital for 3.5 weeks. I wanted to call something out... something beautiful yet unapplauded. The nurses attending to him are Polish, Indian, Filipino, Nigerian, Ugandan and Somalian. Imigrants. And they treat my sick and confused dad with such respect. /1

I often wonder if those criticising the current Prime Minister remember any of the previous five.

Aren’t we lucky to live within a few minutes walk of open country yet in a village with two mini supermarkets, a post office and regular buses to Oxford and Witney etc. Good old Eynsham!

Friday vibes. Slowly but surely the decline of 14 years of Tory rule are being reversed. Mainly thanks to the determination of this genuinely decent man. Ignore media slurs, ignore far left agitators, ignore doom mongers. Keir Starmer and his brilliant team are #FixingBritain

A tiny bit of this Tapestry to finish. This is my last one as arthritis is making such work difficult or should I say the work makes the arthritis more difficult. Accepting one’s limitations at any time of life is sensible.

My friends, I need to tell you about something that troubles me deeply. Luwerezi Village has a clinic with a maternity ward where mothers come to give birth. But there is no clean water. None. The 870 people in this community, including pregnant mothers, newborn babies, and

Amazing ... again! Luwerezi Village has been successfully funded thanks to 10 generous donors! This was our second of two villages fully funded on January 29, 2026! We will have more updates once the...
