Cooperation between parties used to be common, often because everyone knew what was at stake if they didn't work together. Everyone who lived through the WWII era knew we could never make the mistakes that lead to that tragic horror again. Their descendants forgot.

I wish I had asked for tomorrow off to protest. With the confusion about what day it would be, I didn't ask for either of the proposed protest dates off. After the events of the last week, I deeply regret that.

Helping to defend Ukraine is self defense. Too many countries don't seem to realize this, least of all my own. Russia sees the west, including us, as an enemy that needs to be either absorbed or destroyed. They're doing a good job of it. Stop them in Ukraine.

Our humanity hinges on our empathy. If you don't defend the innocent, you give up what makes us human and become an animal mindlessly pursuing needs and pleasures.

You're right, it doesn't. I grew up in a country where we could vote differently, but we were all Americans at the end of the day. And trying to overthrow an election because you didn't like who won was unthinkable. I grew up in a country where you went to church to learn.

You don't get to choose what candidates New York can choose from. Only New York can choose their candidates. Making sure candidates are acceptable to the establishment before letting people vote is a Russian thing, not an American thing.
