JJ Spaun won yesterday because he was more mentally resilient, had better body language, & persevered through adversity on the front 9. Did you notice how Adam Scott kept looking at the ground and JJ’s eyes never left the target/horizon?.

Juniors can have up to 20 shot variance, whereas pros have about a 5.5 shot variance. Variance goes down with development. ·      December to February – 12.13 shots of standard deviation variance.·      June to August – 7.9 shots of standard deviation variance.

Tournament Scoring Variance.·      Juniors should expect ON AVERAGE a twelve 12 shot variance day-to-day in tournament golf. 10-12 shots is within a normal distribution, so if your tournament scoring average is 73.5 and you shoot 73-78 and finish T25, don’t panic.

The NCAA house settlement has been DELAYED! . Will roster limits still be enacted? Are players who were cut still off the roster? . Personally, I think we see a “grandfathering in” of athletes who were cut, & a gradual attrition of roster sizes so the settlement/lawsuit can pass.

Team culture is the expression of a team’s values, attitudes, & goals about sports, competition, & relationships. Having a defined culture effectively “puts a stake in the ground” & establishes what is acceptable behavior on a team and what is not.

Tell College Coaches what excites you. Share your failures and what you’ve learned from them. Show them the WHY behind your choices. College Coaches are looking for real humans, not résumé robots. Your job isn’t to impress. Your job is to connect and tell them your “story”.

Shocking development from the Dept of Education on NIL and rev sharing model - I doubt this “sticks”… but if does, NIL collectives are here to stay.

In a memo from the Dept. of Education, future payments from a school to an athlete for NIL rights are classified as “financial assistance.” . If not divided proportionally, schools would risk violating Title IX. Rev. share is set to begin July 1. More:
