After spending the last month getting Moonring to work perfectly on joystick, I’m rather horrified to find I have to set the correct SteamDeck controller template settings to get it to work properly! Is there some way to force Steamdeck builds to use the basic joystick config?

At some point, pandering to those who DON’T CARE FOR YOUR WORK AND NEVER SHALL, surely becomes the equivalent of desperately pleading for a frog to reciprocate your love.

The world confuses popularity/spread and merit. Those who once had a small, specific audience seem doomed to seek approval from those who don’t care for them. 1/?

This thread isn’t a cry for relevance. I doubt enough will read it for that. But if I can encourage one person to laugh in joyful nihilism at the absurdity of all sacred cows (and give them a friendly pat, nonetheless) then it’s been worth the last 5 minutes.

Not everyone is beautiful. Or clever. Or creative. Or kind. Or even fair. And certainly not ‘right’. How about we stop pressuring everyone to be all things at all times? It’s ridiculous and unattainable. Everyone is a stinky walking cadaver. So let’s dance.

In the grand scheme of things, you really don’t matter. Nor do I. And that’s fine. Enjoy your cup of tea, or a sunset, and don’t get so hung up on its ‘worth’.

There’s something very wrong with a world where everyone screams until they cry just to feel their existence has been noted, and is thus of worth.
