“Memento morí”. I rarely subscribe to blogs - but bloom’s blogs are often thought provoking and completely worth it (plus they are short, have graphs and simple yet effective) @SahilBloom
Last year, I had a conversation that changed my life. It caused me to upend everything and move across the country. The lesson from it may change yours:

Interventional radiology patients who receive this type of patient decision aid for consent purposes tend to feel more heard and better informed.

Women are sometimes more judgy about other women than men are and it’s sad. Don’t understand why personal decisions are subject to an autopsy. I kept my maiden name because I’m too damn lazy to do paperwork. But you do you and I do me. It’s always that simple!
It’s sad when women attack the decisions of other women in the name of feminism. I took @SeanM_Wu’s name after marriage and I have never regretted it. It’s. My. Choice. https://t.co/MtSouWR4Zi

A fun read! 💕 David Brook. Reminds me of the folks getting awards who pretend to be “surprised” and “humbled”. Own your success folks - you worked hard for it (I hope)!
"The whole point of humility display is to signal that you are humbled by your own magnificent accomplishments," @nytdavidbrooks writes.

Why HIPAA won’t protect you if prosecutors want your reproductive health records - STAT. This is even more screwed up than what appears on the surface (which was already screwy)

If one stops and thinks about it, it is amazing that women make it through the day without their heads exploding. Consider this as you stand next to your female colleagues. They made it this far despite a literal mountain of **** falling on them almost 24/7/365.

A good portion of them allow exception for maternal health. Carrying a pregnancy to term can have an adverse effect on maternal mental health which is part and parcel of health (see gun bill). Stating the obvious?

If you’re against abortion, don’t get one. If you’re against contraception, don’t take any. If you’re against same-sex relationships, don’t have one. If you’re against same-sex marriage, don’t marry someone of same gender. Do not impose your beliefs & religion on all Americans.

I came to the US because I believed that I would be in the drivers seat of my destiny. Because the right to an individual’s freedom to make their OWN decisions superseded all. The rose-tinted glasses are shattered and the anger of being such a sucker is real.
