We are very sad to hear of the death of speech and language therapist Carole Pound, who made a significant contribution to the profession, particularly in the field of aphasia. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.

Just completed #aphasia training session with Cuckfield #strokeassociation group. After 45 minutes member talk turned from feeling overwhelmed and what to do if cues don’t work- to importance of visual aids, conversations matter and we are equal. @BCAphasia principles 🥰

Fab #aphasia communication training session with Cuckfield stroke club. Concerns at start “feeling overwhelmed” and “feeling like a twit” changed to “yes- checking back you’ve understood” and “visual aids are so important” “conversation matters!”🥰
