A busy day for Kendal White watch, a mornings initial HVP course for our newest crew members followed by a couple of incidents this afternoon. Attending a dangerous structure in Kendal with assistance from our colleagues from Barrow with their ALP #oneteam🔥🚒👍🏻

Last night Kendal fire station attended the below incident with all of our partner agencies. Thankfully the affected property had a working carbon monoxide detector or this could have been a very different outcome #carbonmonoxideawareness

A great mornings training for Kendal on call, Kendal Green watch, Arnside on call and Milnthorpe crews. We covered some theoretical input on RTC followed by some practical multi vehicle stabilisation. To finish off we had a 2 pump exercise utilising our newly acquired skills 🚒

A special mention must also go to Firefighter Steven Phillipson who, at the start of the month, started his 36th year at Lazonby Fire Station as an on-call firefighter. Great effort Steve, thank you 🙌🏽

2 of 2 Crews ventilated the property and removed the contents of the fire making the property safe for the occupants. This could have been a very different story had the CO2 alarms not been installed in the house. #BeCarbonMonoxideAware 🚨🚒⚠️🧨

1 of 2 Kendal white watch have been to an incident this evening involving carbon monoxide. The affected property had a wood burning stove which had a blocked flue pipe causing the CO2 alarm to activate.
