And Lucy Chapman was 27 years old in The Big Heat. 27! She looks 53.

An unbelievable thing that has changed in 30 years is that in 1995, this was supposed to be what 45 year-olds looked like.

Really disappointed with @bam_clothing - ordered birthday present for friend last Monday. It’s her birthday today. A week! Order has not even left warehouse yet, let alone near delivery and no follow up email.

Terrific profile of Céline Sciamma by @BananaKarenina Few filmmakers offer (or are so well prompted to offer) such lucid reflections on their process, on the ideas behind it, on the changing course of their career, of their art: https://t.co/6HqsHYrbZB

I feel bereft - we finally finished season 7 of #madmen last night. I am 7 years late to the party but what a show.

The films of CELINE SCIAMMA are tender yet intense. They're both cerebral and visceral. They're the work of a director with a clear aesthetic and keen intuition. If that is your kind of cinema, then this VIDEO ESSAY DOSSIER on her work will interest you. https://t.co/H14HqfJelu

Has everyone forgotten Sarah Olney already? (That was the Lib Dem by election victory that was going to secure a reasonable soft Brexit iirc)

I know it’s small beer compared to …[expansive gesture at barren wasteland] but the outsourcing of #turing to #crapita is the perfect illustration of how #brexit was always about funnelling money upwards to cronies.

'patterns a murmuration of starlings Rising in joy over wolds unwittingly weave' (Auden) 'Murmuration' appears in 15thC glossaries , but only used more widely from 19thC onwards. Here its flexible shape contrasts with the solidity of the spire of St Mary's, Charlton on Otmoor.

I spent all of summer 2020 worrying about how I was going to turn the magic of the classroom into stupid Zoom. Now I am spending the summer of 2021 worrying about how I am going to turn the magic of Zoom back into a stupid classroom
