The Uzbek language used Arabic script until 1930, Latin alphabet in 1930-1940, Cyrillic in 1940-1995, and now Latin alphabet again. This is the form of the NKVD of Uzbekistan from the 1930s using the Latin alphabet. From the archives of the Security Service of Ukraine.

This is a bit dated piece on #Hungary's Fidesz long courtship of the #German #CDU, but I love it! Highly recommend this to anyone interested in central/eastern #Europe's politics. By @direkt36 .

5. physical assault, as if being verbally assaulted unavoidably necessitates a physically violent reaction in a law-of-nature kind of way. I mean the narrative is just really out of balance.

4. I was always told by my parents that violence is not the solution. At the very least, both of those guys failed on a very basic human level. Nevertheless, as mentioned above, the anglo (English-language) press talks only about racism, only very briefly mentioning Kamara's.

3. That being said, I still think that any person equipped with at least an average moral compass familiar with all the circumstances of the game would view Kamara's physical assault against Kudela as "the event".

2. I am not saying that whatever was said during the game is insignificant. I also have very little doubt about the truthfulness of Kamara's words describing the situation. I think Kudela was being racist in that moment, and I think it's really said and absolutely inappropriate.

1. scrutiny is "the racist incident". This is "the event". This is what happened during the game, and the whole subsequent discussion will be centred around that event. "Racial abuse of Kamara", "Czechs have a racist problem", "racism in football", etc.

Another article about #racism by @davidhuttjourno . I have to say, this is really slowly getting on my nerves. My problem with this article, and indeed the whole surrounding debate (in the Anglo press), is that the "incident" selected for further.
