My first REU undergraduate student presented his work today. I was nervous when he was presenting. He is amazing to explain such a complicated concept in such a easy way. I was really moved by his poetry he wrote for me. Thanks NSF REU for bringing such a great student to my lab.

I have an amazing undergraduate student Tyshawn Ferrell, who did not learn genetics, but knows genetics very well. This guy is crazy, working from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am everyday. Within one month, he already generated some exciting data. Good job! Thanks NSF REU program!
