Average energy bills are rising by £94 a year from Jan, but @Jeremy_Hunt’s spending announcement failed to include specific support to help struggling families with these bills. Sign @38Degrees’ petition calling for him to cancel the price hike now!

@Haggis_UK I’ve got an idea - why don’t they end all housing allowances for MPs, berth the Bibby Stockholm on the Thames, house all the MPs in it - then see how long it is before they claim it’s not fit for human habitation?

Members of the Fire Brigades Union went to my elderly mother's house and fitted a smoke alarm. It's the kind of lefty politically motivated stuff they do.

Jon Kay - The fire brigades union say the Bibby Stockholm is a death trap... so why won't you meet them? Suella Braverman - "The fire brigades union is a Labour affiliated union & they're carrying out a political attack on the government..." #BBCBreakfast

Hats off to Trowbridge Women's Rugby team who used their rugby boot laces as tourniquets, clothing as pillows & emergency bandages, & good sense & thorough decency to support 4 critically injured road traffic collision victims. What outstanding public service 👏🏈

If the supposed market-loving Tories understood the first thing about running an organisation - any organisation, let alone a government - this is what they'd do.

A robustly market-based solution to the #PublicSector crisis. Do as employers in the private sector do when faced with a shortage of staff. Pay them more. -- @martinwaller10 on a suggestion from @resfoundation https://t.co/DA9Aeynj5Y

Can Britain afford a £15 an hour minimum wage? With me in the studio to discuss this are an £84,000 a year Tory MP, a £150,000 a year rightwing journalist and a £4,000,000 a year chief executive.

For £1.6bn you could have 16,000 doctors 50,000 nurses 16 NEW (actually) new hospitals Or pay for nearly 400,000 people on benefits. Or you could have a cramped, disease ridden ship that houses 0.3% of Asylum Seekers. What would you choose?

The planet-sized flaw in the mantra "We should house/feed/treat our own before we house/feed/treat immigrants" is that the Conservative government is demonstrably NOT housing/feeding/treating our own. Nor is it intending to.

Did you know the word ‘junior’ in Junior Doctor doesn’t mean young or unqualified It’s simply the term for any doctor who is not yet a consultant or experienced GP That includes this 40 year old who’s been a doctor for over 10 years Please RT if you think everyone should know
