5/8 2️⃣ BE STRONG. Kindness is the intent. Strength is the execution. It takes strength to endure the silence after a brutal critique. It takes strength to kill a feature that doesn't serve the user. Discipline is choosing what is RIGHT over what is EASY.

4/8 1️⃣ BE KIND. Kindness is Clarity. It is the willingness to say: THIS ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH YET. Not to hurt, but because you care about the person's potential. Silence isn't support. Silence is negligence.

The fundamental difference: 3/8 NICE people please others to avoid discomfort. KIND people make hard decisions to create value. Nice preserves the moment. Kindness protects the future. My framework for breaking the cycle: 👇

2/8 The NICE Trap 🪤 We often use niceness as a defense mechanism. We withhold critique not to protect the team, but to protect OURSELVES from the awkwardness of the conversation. When you prioritize comfort over truth, you aren't being supportive. You are creating DEBT.

NICE leadership destroys high-performing teams. I thought I was being supportive. I was actually being selfish. Early in my career, I avoided hard feedback to keep the peace. I thought I was being a GOOD leader. I was wrong. Here is the difference between Nice vs. Kind: 🧵1/8
