The question isn’t whether a dying beast will, in fact, die. The question is how many people will it take with it? How many wars will it start? How many lives and lands will it destroy? How much more will we let it take from the world?

What an absolutely inspiring organizing story—uncompromising solidarity with trans youth rights backed by independent mass politics wins in rural Maine. So many lessons to take from this.

But there's a moral from here in rural Maine, too: "We do not have time to wait for the conversion of unwilling hearts. Instead, we must take power and wield it, so every queer person hears an unmistakable message: You are not alone. We will fight this, and we will win."

Absolute heroism from these kids, confronting the cowardice of adults who use their political power to attack queer children.
