Jesus’ harshest words in the gospels wasn’t towards prostitutes, other religions, or undocumented immigrants. Jesus’ harshest words were towards the rich and religious who used God’s words to justify exploitation and oppression. Yet many want us to believe the opposite.

UPDATE: Just spoke w/the head of CSPL. They *still* haven't heard from ICE/DHS about clergy accessing the Broadview ICE facility. A federal court order issued last week required ICE/DHS to work w/CSPL to grant clergy access to the site on Ash Wednesday. Today is Ash Wednesday.

On Jan 6, 2021, we saw the violent implications of Christian nationalism on full display. Praying in the Senate chamber, photos of a MAGA hat-wearing Jesus held high, street vendors selling Bibles. There was Christian symbolism all around, but #Jan6th was not of Christ.
