Quite a sight on the Green after Sunday's storm! ⛈️ The ground was so dry and compacted from the long dry spell that the rain has created temporary lakes but sadly much of the rain ran off, however we're hoping our thirsty trees were able to take some advantage! 🌳.📷PMcMcmillan

Prolonged dry weather means The Green is parched, March seeding failed & the old air raid shelter outline is already visible. Thankfully, volunteers are watering our young Indian Horse Chestnut trees! Much appreciated. #TwickenhamGreen
